Matthew carries to job descriptions as the Executive Pastor and Worship Pastor. In the Executive role Matthew oversees staffing, building operations, Gospel Community Groups, and anything else requiring an Executive Pastor! In the Worship Pastor role he provides leadership to those involved in the Music and Arts Ministries of the church. He oversees the music in our Sunday gatherings, and equips others to lead. He builds worship teams, and shepherds them. He also connects creative people to opportunities to serve in areas of their giftedness. He was born in Grand Forks, BC, but moved to Revelstoke when he was in elementary school. He met Renee in Revelstoke, and they were married in 1993. They have four kids (Austin, Juliana, Everet, and Madeline). He has a B.A. in Religious Studies from Ambrose University and is ordained in the Alliance Canada.
