Jesus said, “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in” (Matthew 25:35).

We believe in the importance of teaching the children (and modeling) what giving to God looks like. It is also essential that the children develop a global awareness of the conditions in which other children live. Our goal is to empower our children to honor God with their finances while making a big difference in the world!

This November/December we will be partnering with our friends, the Szostak family, who are living in Costa Rica and reaching out to the vulnerable children who live in their community. Through the launch of an Awana Program, the Szostaks and their church community are teaching the promises and truths of God’s heart for kids in their community who are in unbelieving and vulnerable families.

Here’s how we are helping…

1. Kids sign out ‘loose change jars’ on Sunday Nov. 10 (upstairs in children’s wing) and collect money through their own acts of service (chores for parents/grandparents). *Return jars on Sunday Nov 24th or Sunday Dec 1st

2. Sevenoaks Kids will be decorating cookies on Saturday November 16th from 3-4:30pm in the Community Room. (cookies will be sold on Dec 1st in our craft/bake sale)

3. Sevenoaks Kids will be making Christmas centerpieces on Saturday November 30th from 3-4:30pm (centerpieces will be sold on Dec 1st in our craft/bake sale)

On Sunday December 1st we will be hosting a CRAFT/BAKE SALE by donation AFTER the Church SERVICE:  We will be selling cookies and Christmas Centerpieces.

All proceeds go to kids in Costa Rica!
