Jamie Fox
Associate Pastor
If you see me around and think I talk funny, I don’t, I’m English (besides it’s you that have the accent!). I came to Canada from Northampton, England in 2002 to marry Renee after meeting her at Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in England. I studied at Regent College in Vancouver before taking this position in Abbotsford, which I began in January 2008. Renee and I have two feisty and energetic little boys, Caleb and Owen. My favourite sport is football (the real name for “soccer”) and my favourite team is Manchester United—I’ve been a fan since I was a kid. I also like to swim, eat out, watch movies, work out (though you can’t really tell), hike, play with my kids and spend time with family and friends. And yes, I do drink a lot of tea. |

Ralph Hardy
Pastor of Children’s Ministries
Karen and I love doing things with our kids, grandkids and other friends and family – especially if has to do with the outdoors or games. While I love hiking, Karen prefers strolling, but we both love reading a book by a lake or the ocean. Before following God’s call into ministry at age 44, I had a career in software development and project management. My passion in ministry is to help people find and follow Jesus and unleash their God-given gifts for serving Him. Karen and I love kids, love being around them and their families and supporting them as they go through the challenges they often face. |

Lyle Magnus
Pastor to Seniors
Hi, I’m Lyle Magnus. I have been on staff at Sevenoaks since the fall of 2000. Before that, my family—Ann and our five children—and I had spent 16 years in Regina. It was great to move back to “our” province, as both Ann and I grew up in the Okanagan, in the wonderful town of Oliver. Ann and I love to do things out-of-doors, like long walks, hiking and photography. We also find it relaxing to watch a great movie together. Right now, the love of our lives is our two grandchildren. It is an honour and a privilege to be a part of the staff at Sevenoaks and to work with the great people who call Abbotsford home. |

Tim Olson
Pastor to Students and Young AdultsI see myself as wearing three primary hats: husband to Michelle, father to two energetic kids, and shepherd to the students and young adults of Sevenoaks. I enjoy playing, reading, relating, thinking deeply, and dreaming. Having grown up in Abbotsford, I married a girl from Abbotsford, studied Biblical Studies at CBC, and served in a local church. Past employers have included floor layers, ostrich farmers, meat packers, lumber sellers, and commercial painters. My hobbies have included camping, fishing, competitive sports, biking, surfing, snowboarding, and coaching basketball. Though employers and hobbies have changed over the years, one thing has remained a constant: a deep love of young people and of the honest, often difficult questions they pose. It is my privilege to be able relate to them as they are, and to speak the truth of the gospel into their lives. |

Errol Rempel
Lead Pastor
Raised on the prairies (North Battleford and Saskatoon, SK), I am loyal to all things green and white (Saskatchewan Roughriders) and blue and white (Toronto Maple Leafs – please don’t hate me). Marilyn and I have two adult children and recently jumped from two to five grandchildren overnight (yes, triplets)! We enjoy raucous laughter, Kingdom conversations, hiking trails, and vacationing somewhere that it doesn’t rain! I love to fish, have a love/hate relationship with working out, and I am insatiably curious about almost everything which means I usually have three books on the go, two of them about theology. I previously pastored in Calgary, Milton, ON, and Saskatoon. |

Doriana Brewer
Receptionist
I was born in the home of the most awesome hockey team of all time (Vancouver), but Victoria was the only home I knew until I was 19. I lived there until I moved to Abbotsford to attend Columbia Bible College for their Youth Work program. I originally came to Sevenoaks because I needed a youth group practicum, but I stuck around because I found a loving church family (and a husband). I continue to serve in the youth ministry as well as on the worship team. When I am not at the church I am usually spending time with my husband Rob or hanging out with friends. I enjoy coffee, movies, reading, and watching the Canucks (when there is actually a hockey season).

Ron Demers
Facility & Business Manager
I was born and raised on a small farm in Cherryville which is a tiny community in the Okanagan Valley. As a teenager I was a member of a famous country rock band named the “Cherryvillans” and a biker gang named the Cherryville trail riders. I enjoy exercise of any kind as well as reading, gardening, guitar, hiking and good music. I especially enjoy people who have a good sense of humor and the capacity to have a deep and spiritually engaging conversation.I am involved in a mentoring ministry with young men from our church and have a group of my peers that I meet with every week. Before I began at Sevenoaks, I spent 35 years in purchasing and materials management in the Highway and Bridge Maintenance industry. I am very happily married to Joey with whom I am privileged to share my life. We have a wonderful blended family that we love dearly. |

Brenda Jansen
Administrative Assistant
I began my employment at Sevenoaks in January 2008. I am enjoying my role as admin support for the worship arts pastor. I was born in Saskatchewan and spent my formative years in Regina. I married and had three sons, two of which married in 2007. As a family, we lived in the Kootenays, Lower Mainland and then Red Deer. My husband passed away in 2004. I found myself back in the Lower Mainland in 2007 after marrying Don Jansen, a gentleman from this area. Since remarrying I have come to enjoy the outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. I also appreciate gardening, reading, and love to bake. |

Heidi Peters
Financial Director
I grew up in Brazil and moved to Abbotsford when I was eleven. Although I am an outgoing & action driven person I love working with numbers – hence I’m involved in the church’s finances. I have enjoyed life with Gerry, my high school sweetheart, in pastoral ministries. We have two married daughters and 5 grandchildren. I love running, the outdoors, sunshine, friends and spending time with the grandkids. |

Wilma Priebe
Hospitality Coordinator
I grew up in the Cranbrook Alliance Church. My family moved to Abbotsford in 1969 so that Larry could find me and marry me. We have had the pleasure of parenting two wonderful sons who in turn have presented us with five granddaughters. As a young family we went to Mali, West Africa where were served in missions until 1990. Since then I have worked in food services at a Bible College, been a receptionist for two different Bible Colleges, been a pastor’s wife, and a massage therapist, among other things. I enjoy everything I do and there is more that I would like to do. I thank the Lord for giving me the strength and abilities that I have. |

The Lower Mainland has always been ‘home’ for me. I graduated from Abby Senior (now Collegiate), was active in the youth group here at church, was baptized and later married here. I graduated from Canadian Bible College and Theological Seminary and then served in children’s ministry at Spruce Grove (AB) and West Side (SK) Alliance churches and locally at Northview Community Church. My husband, Werner, and I have two sons. I enjoy reading, walking, gardening and puzzle making as well as watching hockey and baseball. |
