seniors ministries 

Sevenoaks offers a number of activities for senior adults. Some activities are fun—because we love to have fun together—while others are a little more serious as we get together to learn, to grow, to worship. Some occur in Abbotsford and others are out-of-town trips.

Some of our activities are outlined below; please visit our event calendar to learn when and where these activities will be.

good friends
Good Friends meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 10:30 am. We have a 90 minute program which includes special speakers, music, games, visuals, and other activities. Following the program, we spend an hour enjoying lunch together (there is usually a cost for the lunch).

praise sing-along
On the third Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm we gather together for one hour to sing hymns and gospel choruses. After singing, we enjoy a time of food and conversation.

recreational activities
Throughout the year we get together for an assortment of recreational activities. These are announced well ahead of time. Please visit our event calendar to for more information about our upcoming recreational activities.

lifestage classes
Each Sunday morning, from 9:15–10:15 am, we get together to study the Bible. There are two different classes, defined loosely by age. Lifestage is a great time to learn and to grow together.

bus trips
Bus trips take place at different times during the year. Some trips are recreational, going to a destination to enjoy the scenery, the shopping, the activities. Some of our trips are to a specific event, like dinner theatre, or a special activity. Others are educational, growth experiences.

prime time singers
Prime Time Singers is our Senior Adult Choir. They meet at the church every Monday, from September to May, to practice. They meet in the Community room from 10:30–noon. During the month, their ministry at a number of care home facilities is greatly appreciated by those living in the care homes.
