worship arts ministry opportunities

Sevenoaks Alliance seeks to provide worship opportunities that are authentic, celebrative and Christ-centered. Here are some ways to get plugged in:

1. Worship Team Vocalists
We practice Thursday evenings on a team rotation basis. If you are interested in joining us, please email Pastor Steve Otterbein sotterbein@sevenoaks.org.

2. Worship Team Instrumentalists
Practices are every Thursday evening on a team rotation basis. Contact Mel Bowker, Instrumental/Ensemble Director, at mbowker@sevenoaks.org if you would like information about getting involved.

3. Worship Team Technician
If you would like to help operate Sound and Lights during worship services, please contact Stan Cook, Technical Director, at scook@sevenoaks.org to learn about Volunteer Training.

4. Seasonal Choral
Contact: Pastor Steve Otterbein (sotterbein@sevenoaks.org) to find out when seasonal choral is offered, practice dates/times, etc. No auditions required.

5. Sevenoaks Vocal Ensemble 
If you would like to join this challenging group, knowledge of music theory is required (involvement by audition). Practices run on Sundays at 4:00–5:30 pm. Contact Mel Bowker (mbowker@sevenoaks.org) for more information.

6. Drama Team
Interested in acting, script writing, production? Please contact Andy Rolleman (Drama Director) at andyr@shaw.ca.

7. Prime Time Singers
Our senior’s choir practices on Monday mornings. If you would like information about joining, contact Pastor Lyle Magnus (lmagnus@sevenoaks.org).

8. Children's Choir
Please contact the church office (604-853-0757 or life@sevenoaks.org) for more information about our children’s choir.

9. Media Operator
Media operators are in charge of running the Sunday morning slide and video projection via Media Shout software. Please contact Stan Cook, at scook@sevenoaks.org, to learn about Volunteer Training.

10. Video Camera Operator
Recording Sunday-morning services is an important volunteer role. If you’re interested in helping with this, please email the church office at life@sevenoaks.org.

11. Media Room Administrator
Our media room administrator takes service counter orders for CD/DVD's, prepares CD/DVD labels; makes CD/DVD Copies, and more. If you are interested please let us know, life@sevenoaks.org.
