Sevenoaks Alliance Church believes that the most effective way to be cared for in community is within the context of a small group. This "Nurture Care Group" is comprised of 10-12 people who gather together weekly or bi-weekly to study God's Word, share, pray and fellowship together. Most Care Groups meet in homes and enjoy social outings and sometimes special projects as well.

Some groups are similar in age or life-stage grouping while others are specific in their nature ie. intergenerational, discipleship, evangelistic, etc.

Care Group selection and attendance is voluntary, not assigned. Persons are encouraged to persist in seeking the group where they feel "at home".

ACTION CARE GROUPS are groups of people who share in ministry together. When they gather, they envision and plan for the ministry in which they serve, but also share and pray together, encouraging one another and socializing together. This is the "glue" which keeps ministry teams together and provides nurturing and care to persons who commit to serving in and among the varied ministries of the church. Example of such groups would be in Children's Ministries, Youth Leadership, Telecare, etc.
