Welcome to the online home of Sevenoaks Alliance Church. We're glad you're here! Below you'll find some answers to questions you may have about us before coming to check out a Sunday gathering in person.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect at a church service?
Our Sunday morning services begin at 10:30am and are approximately 75 minutes long. The service is designed to encourage and inspire you to know Jesus and to make Him known. During the service we sing, listen to a message from one of our pastors, pray, read scripture and give. Once a month we partake in communion together.
What about my kids?
During our Sunday morning service we provide a supervised nursery (0-2yrs) and preschool (3-4yrs). We also have a Sunday kids program for those in kindergarten - Gr 5. Here children have the opportunity to learn about the bible, participate in activities, sing songs, and connect with other kids and their group leaders. Please see the Children's Ministry page for more details.
What do I wear?
Our congregation includes people of all ages and backgrounds so you will see people dressed in all styles from jeans to suits. Feel free to dress in what is comfortable to you.
Do I need to bring money?
No, if you are visiting with us, please feel no obligation to give. We are delighted to have you with us.
What happens when the service is over?
When the service is over, the band will usually play one more song. Many people will stay to visit so please feel free to stay, we would love to meet you. On Communion Sundays which is the first Sunday of every month, we invite you to join us in the gym for cookies and a time for us to get to know eachother better!
How do I get connected?
We host Newcomers luncheons throughout the year so you can meet the Pastors and learn more about who we are, where we're going and how you can get connected. Watch our Events page for upcoming Newcomers luncheons. You can also contact the church office anytime and we would be happy to chat with you about how you can get connected.
